The Danish-UAE Forum ("DUF", "we", "us") is an independent, non-governmental, volunteer-led initiative established by lovers of the UAE living in Denmark and Europe. We operate this gateway platform on a non-profit basis. Contact: /contact.

2. Legal framework

We process personal data in accordance with:

• EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679 — GDPR);
• EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (cookie consent);
• UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its Executive Regulations.

3. What we collect

• Strictly necessary cookies: small technical identifiers required for the site to function (e.g. your consent choice).
• Optional analytics: aggregated, anonymised usage data, only with your explicit opt-in.
• Contact submissions: name, email and message when you voluntarily write to us.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data, children's data, or biometric data. We do not sell personal data.

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for site security and basic operation.

6. International transfers

As a Denmark–UAE platform, data may be transferred between the EEA and the UAE. Such transfers rely on the safeguards permitted by GDPR Chapter V and the cross-border transfer provisions of the UAE PDPL.

7. Retention

Consent records are retained for up to 12 months. Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry.
